"A Sun for Every Cloud"

$50.00

Following my semester at Boise State University in 1989, I found myself deeply inspired by the timeless works of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and many other great master artists who have shaped the course of art history. Motivated by their incredible techniques and unique styles, I made the decision to apply elements of “their” artistic approach in my own work and set out to create a piece that might look as if it had been drawn by a true “master.” The result was this sun, meticulously rendered using Prismacolor pencils.

However, for nearly 25 years, it remained unfinished. At some point during its development, I lost interest in the project, and it, along with many other pieces, stayed tucked away in my portfolio beneath the bed, waiting patiently for that elusive “someday.” In 2017, that long-awaited someday finally arrived, and I found renewed interest in it and completed what I had started so many years before.
