The Little Drummer Boy

$30.00

Years ago, I liked to make 8×10 “One of a kind” Christmas cards as gifts for friends and family. Sadly, I never photographed any of these small holiday paintings, so most have been lost to time. The only one that remains in my possession is “The Little Drummer Boy” — a piece I left unfinished for many years until, in 2017, I finally got around to completing it.

The 1953 version of “The Little Drummer Boy” has always been my favorite Christmas song, so I decided to paint it. Once finished, my wife didn’t think it made a very good Christmas card because the little boy and the sheep look so sad! I told her that they’re sad because they have no gifts to bring! Pa rum pum pum pum! Which is exactly why it’s such a great Christmas song, and my favorite.

Artwork measures approximately 8” x 10”
